2020 Summer Discovery Camps
The Health Museum offers Summer Camps for kids and teens in Houston!
Dissect real animal organs, become a veterinarian for a week, simulate a surgery on a patient simulator, find your inner chef and more in our incredible camps for children ages 5-13!
Your child will engage in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) activities, while learning about medical science and the human body. Campers will take part in health-themed interactive experiences and explore all that The Health Museum has to offer!

Camps meet from 9 am - 3 pm. Before and After Care is also available for an additional fee.
Before Camp: 7:30 am -8:30 am
After Camp: 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm.
Before Care offers campers structured classes in mindfulness, movement and yoga, and martial arts. In After Care, campers will play fun games, watch age appropriate videos, do arts and crafts, solve puzzles and more. Snacks are provided.
Before Camp Care and After Camp Care are available for the entire week only and must be purchased on or before the first day of camp. Daily rates are not available. Campers enrolled in After Care must be picked up by 5:30 p.m., after which an extra charge of $1.00 per minute will be assessed.
Drop Off and Pick Up Times
General camp check-in will begin at 8:30 am. Please note that if you have not signed up your camper for the Before Camp Care option, you will have to wait in the front and will not be able to sign your camper in until 8:30 am.
Campers are expected to be picked up by 3:30 pm.
Camps are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to high demand for camp spaces, all sales are considered final. During the camp season, camps that are full will be posted as such on our website. If a camp is full, you will have the option of placing your camper on a wait list.

At this time lunch will not be provided for campers. Afternoon snacks will be provided. Campers are welcome to bring their own snacks.

Membership must be current to take advantage of discounted camp fees. Family MAX Level members and above are eligible for discounted camp fees.
2020 Summer Discovery Camp Scholarships
2020 Summer Summer Discovery Camp Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, as well as potential and need for enrichment in an informal learning environment. Applicants that are awarded a scholarship must be interested in learning, have good behavior and be unable to otherwise afford to attend camp. The scholarship includes a full week of tuition only.

These forms must be received via email five business days prior to the first day of camp.
The Museum reserves the right to cancel camps that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements. If a camp is cancelled by the museum, registrants will receive a full refund. Registrants must contact the Camp Office in writing via email no later than 14 days prior to the first day of camp. There will be a $100 cancellation fee for camp registrations cancelled by registrants less than two weeks before camp begins. There is a $25 fee for returned check
