Our Global Kitchen: Food, Nature, Culture explores our complex food system from farm to fork. With sections devoted to growing, transporting, eating, cooking, and celebrating food, Our Global Kitchen illuminates the myriad ways that food is produced, moved, and enjoyed throughout the world.

You don’t need to be a scientist to enter, but you’ll feel like one when you leave! Gear up with a lab coat, gloves, and goggles and travel through experiment stations designed to bilingually introduce biology-based science to the public and inspire future scientists and leaders in the medical field.

Take a larger-than-life walking tour through the human body and learn more about how your major organs work in this permanent exhibit. Explore the brain, nervous system, ears, eyes, heart, spine and skeleton, intestines, and more in an audio and visual experience like no other.

Museum Day is an annual celebration of curiosity hosted by Smithsonian magazine, in which more than 1,500 museums open their doors for free. The Museum Day ticket provides free admission for two people on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
