August 17, 2018 (Houston, Texas) – On Friday, August 17, 2018, The John P. McGovern Museum of Health and Medical Science inaugurated its newest exhibition, Body as a Work of Art: More Than Skin Deep and the dedication of Reflections, 2015, a gift by art patron and philanthropist, Dr. Carolyn Farb, h.c. The exhibition explores the dichotomy of inner and outer beauty through a series of thought-provoking and interactive collections curated by The Health Museum – a Smithsonian Affiliate and a member institution of both the Texas Medical Center and the Houston Museum District Association.
Body as a Work of Art: More Than Skin Deep will be on display at The Health Museum in Houston through Friday, January 11, 2019. Visitors will be able to share their experiences discovering the new exhibition using the hashtag #MoreThanSkinDeep.
