Our community has been coping with an unprecedented health crisis for several months. The most recent reports from our state and local officials show that the number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 is increasing significantly. More worrisome is the record-breaking rate of patients who require hospitalization. These are trends we are all watching closely.
The leadership of the Museum is continuing to monitor and evaluate the situation on a day-to-day basis. In an abundance of caution in response to the information provided by our partners in the medical community, The Health Museum remains closed at this time.
The safety of our visitors, volunteers, and staff is of the utmost importance. While we have not yet determined a specific date, we hope to reopen soon. We are working with our partner institutions and the medical community to evaluate the safest way to reopen. This includes changes to how we provide service, how our staff interacts with our visitors, and how visitors interact with each other.
While the crisis continues, we encourage everyone to follow the health and safety recommended by the medical community:
While our physical location remains closed, we continue to provide essential updates and health information to the community through online programs, discussions, and resources. You can learn more on our website and through our social media channels. We also invite you to become a Museum member, to receive early access to our reopening programs and services, and discounts in the Amazing Body Store. If you join today, you can attend our next member-exclusive event on Monday, June 29, 2020, at 6 p.m.; our President and CEO John Arcidiacono will be discussing our planned safety measures and what The Health Museum has done during the crisis.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming you back to The Health Museum soon.
