Dalanna Burris, LPC, LCDC, CSAT, has more than 10 years of professional experience and currently serves as a behavioral addictions specialist for both inpatient and outpatient programs. She has special expertise in problematic sexual behavior and gaming addiction. She also has advanced skills in cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy.

A member of the Association for Addiction Professionals, the Texas Association for Addiction Professionals and the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health, she is a frequent blogger on Mind Matters from Menninger, our Psychology Today blog. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from New Mexico State University, she earned a master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and a master’s degree in Addictions Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
