The John P. McGovern Museum of Health and Medical Science is hosting MD Anderson Day on Thursday, July 25th, during the museum’s Free Family Thursday program.
The event is an opportunity for the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center to showcase healthy living and wellness resources for the public and educate museum visitors on ways to reduce their cancer risks.
Activities will include a Too Cool to Smoke Puppet Show (at 3:30pm), a special guest from the Houston Dynamo, an interactive 15-foot-wide by 19-foot-long by 13-foot-tall giant inflatable walk-through lungs display, an exhibit that demonstrates a healthy versus a diseased lung, a giant wall to sign and write messages to loved ones affected by cancer, anti-tobacco and cancer prevention information displays, an InBody scan, photo booths, and more!
