Mindfulness is the art of paying attention to the present moment with openness, curiosity, and kindness. It’s something we do naturally, however we are often caught in the habit of thinking about past and future events, or caught in judging the present. All of these things take us out of the experience of life.
Over the last 25 years, mindfulness practices have been studied widely through America and are overwhelmingly shown to be beneficial; reducing stress, lessening suffering from anxiety, depression and physical pain, boosting the immune system, improving our sense of well-being, and actually changing the structure and function of our brains.
Join us for a free information session with Dr. Ann Friedman, a psychologist and certified Mindfulness instructor, where you’ll be able to ask questions, engage with Dr. Friedman, and register for upcoming Mindfulness classes.
Not available to come to the museum? You're in luck! We'll be live streaming the information session via Facebook Live.
