The Center for School Behavioral Health at Mental Health America of Greater Houston and Nick Finnegan Counseling Center invite you to celebrate Children's Mental Health Day at our 2017 #HTXMentalHealth Children's Art Contest Awards Program, Reception and Gallery Exhibit, hosted by The Health Museum.
We will honor children ages 5-14 from throughout the Greater Houston region who tapped into their creativity to share their expression and understanding of mental health through art using the theme, "HOW I FEEL ABOUT MYSELF!".
This year's event highlights a gallery of select work by nearly 100 youth from public and private schools, Girl Scouts, art schools, home school programs and child-serving organizations.
We will recognize six youth artists whose art best reflects the theme with an award plus prizes from partnering art and family entertainment venues.
Additionally, one artist will receive a scholarship to attend the Glassell Junior School | The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the event.
