November 10, 2016 (Houston, Texas) – On Saturday, December 3, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., children, parents, and families are encouraged to bring their teddy bears, dolls, or other favorite friends to The Health Museum for the annual Teddy Bear Checkup. Santa Claus will be on hand to spread holiday cheer and to help children complete health and wellness checkups on their favorite friends.

November 1, 2016 (Houston, Texas) – Just in time for the holiday season, The Health Museum is now registering area youth – ages 5 to 13 years old – for its annual Fall and Winter Break Discovery Camps at the museum. These fun and educational interactive learning opportunities will take place during the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve school holiday breaks in November and December.

A University of Houston graduate, Dr. Melanie Johnson is also the first African American to hold a senior position in the Houston museum district.
