Social Motion brings social skills classes to The Health Museum!

Quirky? Gifted? Have a high functioning autism diagnosis or similar social learning differences? Seeking social skill groups, enrichment activities and friends?

The middle school years are socially tough for everybody, but especially for those with learning or social differences. This is the time self-consciousness reaches full-tilt levels, emotions run high, and relationships are their most fickle. Our middle school social skills classes help bring it all into perspective with plenty of reinforcement of elementary social skills and a focus on fitting in, making meaningful relationships, and taking responsibility. And, yes, we talk about the one thing all middle schoolers fear most: the dreaded bully!

Early exposure to social integration skills provides a solid foundation rooted in awareness, confidence and know-how for children with autism and similar social learning differences. Social Motion reinforces core character traits while raising age-relevant social awareness and putting that awareness into motion through active learning. Elementary social skills classes focus on important social basics and group interaction, awareness, observation and the building blocks for successful friendship!
