Culinary Adventures: Spontaneous Cake
Want to be spontaneous? Then let the cake box take a break. Come on down and join Pastry Chef John I. Calderon as he will take you hand-in-hand to learn the entire process of cake making from scratch. Get to know the science behind the egg yolk and even eat some cake.

Marine Biology: Wonders of the Sea
Interested in working with real sea life? Probe through oyster shells freshly plucked from Galveston Bay waters and dissect a dogfish shark! Students will have a chance to explore estuarine life and shark phylogeny, biology and ecology during this hands-on sea adventure!

In this course, you will have an opportunity to find out through interactions with medical professionals and explorations of technology at the Texas Medical Center. Learn more about cardiac anatomy through a hands-on dissection of a sheep’s heart.
