Siege of the Skeletons

October 4 - November 6, 2011

If you've ever dreamed of having your work exhibited in a museum, now's your chance!  Siege of the Skeletons is an annual exhibition of papier-mâché skeletons created by the community for the community.


2011 Siege of the Skeletons Winners

Elementary/Middle School Category: 

1. Beyond the Looking Glass, submitted by Amanda Ariza, Jose Barboza, Baltazar Esquivel, and David James from Moorhead Junior High School

2. Diary of a Wimpy Kid, submitted by Collin Moss, Nick Johnson, Noah Abbott, and Ty Cruise from St Anne Catholic School

3. Abe Lincoln, submitted by Jason Kraynak, Ronan Panicker, and Elias Pierce from St Stephens

 

  

High School Category:

Thank you to all of the teams who participated in the 2011 Siege of the Skeletons!  Registration for the 2012 Siege of the Skeletons begins February 1, 2012.


THEME

From Books to Bones
This year's skeletons will draw their inspiration from works of literature -
a favorite bedtime story or a poem, a classic novel or a work of non-fiction,
a comic book or a cook book - they're all fair game!

AWARDS

Thanks to the generosity of Texas Art Supply, the winning team in the Elementary/Middle Category and the High School Category will each receive a $100 gift card for Texas Art Supply. 

The winning team or individual in the Open Category will receive a $200 gift card for Texas Art Supply. 

All entrants will receive a certificate of participation and a free guest pass to visit the museum.
